How to enable Lync Addin and create Lync Meetings using the Outlook 2013
1. Open the outlook and click New meeting, Check whether you can see the Lync Meeting option.
If Yes!.. Then no need to enable the Lync Addin for your Outlook which is already enabled and directly go to the 6th step.
If No!.. Kindly follow the below steps to enable Lync Addin.
Open the Outlook
2. Go to File options
3. Select Add-Ins
4. Look for the “Lync Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013 (UCAddin.dll)”.
a. If it’s in the inactive Application Add-ins.
Look for the Manage option which is at the bottom, select COM Add-ins and click on GO.
5. In the COM Add-ins wizard check the “Lync Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013 (UCAddin.dll)”
Click on OK.
In the Outlook Options wizard click OK and restart the outlook.
Go to Step 6.
b. If the “Lync Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013 (UCAddin.dll)” is in disabled items.
At bottom of the wizard Manage option select Disabled-items and click on Go.
In the disabled items window select the UCAddin.dll click on Enable.
After this follow the 4th, 5th steps.
Restart the outlook and continue to 7th step.
6. Click on New Meeting you should see the Lync Meeting Icon Appearing.
7. Click on the New Lync Meeting and which opens the Untitled Meeting Window.
Fill the following fields:
To: Meetings attendees Email ids or recipients
Subject: Regarding the Meeting
Location: Optional (Default is Lync Meeting)
Start Time: Start time of the Meeting
End Time: End time of the meeting
In the message body type description regarding the content of the meeting.
Finally click on send.
Note: 1. Join Lync meeting is the meeting URL.
2. To join the meeting Lync attendee or Lync basic or Lync full version client is required.
Now your Lync meeting is created and scheduled.
