Understand LifeCycle of Digital Assurance

Post the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses can no longer afford to operate as they used to. The world has changed significantly, and technology plays an increasingly important role in supporting industries.

Digital transformation takes place in three stages – first is to digitize business – transforming analog or manual or traditional systems to their digital equivalents. The second is Digitalization – rewriting business processes by infusing digital technologies. The third is Digital Transformation – creating new business systems, models, and customer experiences.

Digital assurance is confined not only to testing applications across the Social, Mobile, Analytics & Cloud (SMAC), BigData, Internet of Things (IoT), etc. but there is also a need to ensure that the desired business outcome is achieved as a result of the digital transformation initiatives adopted. Therefore, while QA must support all digital initiatives, the digital assurance solutions must go beyond the necessary functional validations for SMAC and should encompass various aspects like network capability, interoperability, optimal performance, and enhanced security. This will shift the focus from traditional QA (testing) towards assuring a better customer experience and integrated testing of various embedded software, digital devices, and big data.
